Ham, Egg, and Asparagus Baskets

This dish is very quick to prepare and can be used for breakfast or as a snack or appetizer for parties. In terms of nutritional content it is high in protein and fat, but keep in mind that the recipe is for 3 baskets. If you wish, you can substitute the asparagus for another vegetable.

This dish is very quick to prepare and can be used for breakfast or as a snack or appetizer for parties. In terms of nutritional content it is high in protein and fat, but keep in mind that the recipe is for 3 baskets. If you wish, you can substitute the asparagus for another vegetable.

Approximate Nutritional Content: entire recipe (3-4 baskets)

  • Calories: 220 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 12 gr. equivalent to 2 portions of fat

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 10 gr. equivalent to 1/2 portion of vegetable

  • Grams of protein: 22 gr. equivalent to 3 portions of protein

Note: nutritional information may vary according to the quantity and type of ingredients used.

Ingredients:

  • 2 thin slices of ham (turkey, chicken, or pork)

  • 2 eggs

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 15 small pieces of asparagus (canned or fresh)

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • In a muffin tray, spray 3 compartments and place the ham in each one forming a basket.

  • In a deep bowl, beat the eggs (scrambled), add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Distribute the egg equally among the 3 ham baskets.

  • Cut the asparagus into small pieces and place 4 to 5 pieces in each basket.

  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, you can leave them until the edges of the ham brown. Remove and serve.
