  • Grams of carbohydrates: 12 g equals 1 fruit serving

  • Grams of protein: 1 g.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of Splenda

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1/2 cup of basil leaves

  • 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, grated

  • 4 cups of diced pineapple

  • 3 cups of strawberries cut into quarters

  • 1/2 cup of grapes cut in half

Preparation:

  • In a small pot, combine the water with Splenda, bring to a boil and cook for one minute or until the Splenda dissolves.

  • Remove from heat and add the basil and lemon zest.

  • Let cool to room temperature, then strain the water leaving the solids aside.

  • In a large deep bowl, combine the pineapple, strawberries and grapes. Pour the Splenda mixture over the fruit and stir to coat well. Refrigerate until serving.
