Tacos are often seen as “forbidden” foods or high in calories. Here we share a recipe to enjoy tacos without feeling guilty afterward.
Calories: 240 kcal
Grams of fat: 16gr. equals 3 servings of fat
Grams of protein: 10 gr. equals 1 serving of protein
Grams of carbohydrates: 14 gr. equals 1 serving of grain

6 hard taco shells
250 gr. of lean ground beef
1 tablespoon of canola oil
1 cup of finely chopped onion
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon of chili flakes
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon of tabasco
3/4 cup of shredded lettuce
6 tablespoons of diced tomato
6 tablespoons of shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, etc.)
salt to taste
In a large skillet with cooking spray, fry the meat until browned. Drain well, remove from skillet and set aside.
Heat the canola oil in the skillet, add 1/2 cup of onion and cook until golden. Add the garlic, stir and cook for one minute.
Place the meat in the skillet with the onion, add and stir the chili flakes, pepper, cumin, tabasco and salt. Cook for a couple of minutes and remove from heat.
Assemble the tacos: Place 1/4 cup of meat in the taco shell and top with 2 tablespoons of lettuce, 1 tablespoon of tomato, 1 tablespoon of cheese and finish with some remaining onion.
