This recipe can be used for breakfast time or in small portions as a dessert since it has a somewhat high calorie content. It can also be enjoyed on weekends at coffee time.

Approximate Nutritional Content: 1 cup

  • Calories: 220 kcal

  • Grams of fat: 11 gr. equivalent to two servings of fat

  • Grams of protein: 3 gr.

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 30 gr. equivalent to two servings of carbohydrate/fruit.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 1/4 cup oats

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 6 small apples, finely sliced

  • 3 tablespoons apple or lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup Splenda

  • Cooking spray

Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  • In a deep bowl, combine the butter, oats, brown sugar, and flour. Set aside.

  • In another bowl, mix the apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, and Splenda.

  • Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the apple mixture and top with the oat mixture.

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the apple is soft.
