Greek Yogurt with Carrot and Ginger

In recent months Greek yogurt has become very trendy, this food is nutritionally excellent if we find one that has the correct balance of protein, fat and carbohydrates. Greek yogurt tends to be much thicker than others because it contains little water, making it an excellent source of protein and perfect food post-exercise or for a healthy snack.

  • Calories: 220 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 19 gr. equals 4 servings of healthy fat

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 11 gr. equals 1 serving of carbohydrates

  • Grams of protein: 5 gr. equals 1 serving of protein

Ingredients:

  • 250 gr. of plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon of orange juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon of fresh grated ginger

  • 1/4 teaspoon of orange zest

  • 1 cup of grated carrot

  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped walnuts

Preparation:

  • Combine in a deep bowl, the orange juice, olive oil, ginger and orange zest.

  • Once the ingredients are combined, add the grated carrot, stir and mix well.

  • Place the yogurt on a plate and cover with the carrot mixture, sprinkle with the walnuts.
