This oatmeal is simply delicious, combining flavors like banana, chocolate chips, and walnuts. It serves perfectly as breakfast or dessert since it satisfies your sweet cravings and provides excellent nutrients.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk

  • 2 ripe bananas sliced into rounds (1 1/2 banana diced and 1/2 banana sliced)

  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • salt

  • 2 cups oatmeal

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1/3 cup toasted walnuts, finely chopped

  • pinch of cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation:

  • In a large pot over high heat, add the milk, 1 3/4 cup of water, the diced bananas, almond and vanilla extracts and a pinch of salt, bring to a boil.

  • Once it has boiled, add the oatmeal, cocoa, and 1 tablespoon of honey to the pot, reduce heat to medium.

  • Cook stirring frequently until the oatmeal is cooked, 6 to 7 minutes.

  • Serve the oatmeal in 4 bowls, top with the banana slices, walnuts, remaining honey, cinnamon and chocolate chips.
