This recipe is perfect as a snack or can be served at any party or event you have. Very simple to make and excellent for satisfying your sweet cravings without going overboard on calories.

This recipe is perfect as a snack or can be served at any party or event you have. Very simple to make and excellent for satisfying your sweet cravings without going overboard on calories.

Approximate Nutritional Content: 1 serving of half a banana (recipe makes 8 servings)

  • Calories: 106 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 4.34 gr equals 1 fat serving.

  • Grams of protein: 2.18 gr.

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 16.5 gr. equals 1 fruit/carbohydrate serving.

Note: nutritional information may vary depending on the quantity and type of ingredients used, as well as the portion size.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe and firm bananas (large or medium)

  • 8 wooden sticks

  • 3 tablespoons of peanuts (salted or unsalted) finely chopped

  • 180 gr. of dark or bitter chocolate.

Preparation:

  • Peel the bananas and cut them in half. Place a wooden stick in each banana. Place the bananas on a tray and cover with plastic wrap. Put in the freezer for approximately 3 hours.

  • Put the peanuts on a plate.

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil (fill the pot halfway with water or slightly less). Place a bowl or another pot on top of the pot with water (double boiler), making sure the top one does not touch the water. Put the chocolate in the pot on top, melt and stir constantly.

  • Pour the melted chocolate into a tall, thick glass. Dip each frozen banana in the chocolate and immediately roll in the peanuts.

  • Place the bananas on a tray lined with parchment paper. Can serve immediately or freeze again.
