Ingredients:

  • 1 cup apple cider and 2 tablespoons separate

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 3 large apples, unpeeled and cut into very thin slices

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation:

  • Place 1 cup of apple cider and brown sugar in a small pot over medium-high heat, bring to a boil.

  • Add the apples and cook over low heat (simmering), stirring constantly until soft, approximately 10 to 12 minutes.

  • In a small deep plate combine the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cider. Add to the pot with apples and cook stirring until thickened.

  • Remove from heat and add the vanilla, stir.
