This salad combines different types of grains with flavors inspired by Asia. It’s a perfect side dish for meat and simple to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

  • 1 compact tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped

  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped

  • juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 large can whole red beans, drained

  • 1 large can chickpeas, drained

  • 1 large can green beans, drained

Preparation:

  • Place all ingredients in a deep bowl except for the red beans, chickpeas and green beans. Stir to make the dressing.

  • Add the grains to the deep bowl and mix.

  • You can eat it immediately or let it rest so the flavors blend together.
