Whole Wheat Pancakes or Waffles (Egg-Free)

This recipe is perfect for vegetarians or those changing their lifestyle to a healthier or even organic one. It’s perfect for breakfast or as a regular snack or pre-workout fuel.

Approximate Nutritional Content: 1/4 cup of mixture, recipe yields 11 servings

  • Calories: 90 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 3 gr. equals 1/2 serving

  • Grams of carbohydrate: 15 gr. equals 1 serving

  • Grams of protein: 3 gr. equals half a serving

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)

Preparation:

  • In a deep bowl mix the flour, flaxseed and baking powder, set aside.

  • In another deep bowl combine the milk, honey, peanut butter and vanilla.

  • Slowly add the dry ingredients (flour mixture) to the wet ingredients (milk mixture), stir until everything is evenly incorporated.

  • If desired, this is the time to add the chocolate chips.

  • To make the pancakes measure 1/4 cup of mixture and place in a preheated skillet with cooking spray.

  • Serve
