Balsamic Vinaigrette

For those who love dressing their salads, here’s a healthy homemade option. You can make it in large quantities to last the whole week, this way we avoid commercial dressings full of calories.

Approximate Nutritional Content: 1 tablespoon (whole recipe makes 2/3 cup)

  • Calories: 65 kcal

  • Fat grams: 7 gr. equals 1 fat serving

  • Protein grams: 0

  • Carbohydrate grams: 1 gr.

Note: nutritional information may vary according to the quantity and type of ingredients used.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (white or dark)

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon warm water

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

Preparation:

  • In a deep bowl, mix and stir together the vinegar, water, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  • While continuously stirring, slowly add the olive oil until everything is well incorporated.
