Flavored Water!

Many people forget to drink water or simply don’t enjoy it. It’s very important to stay well hydrated so our body stays healthy and functions properly. Here are several different ideas for how to consume water.

Cucumber and Citrus Water:

  • 1 large lemon

  • 1 orange

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1/2 gallon of water

Place all the cut fruits and vegetables in a pitcher and add the water. Refrigerate for 2 hours so the flavor infuses into the water, then serve in glasses with ice.

Lemon and Mint Water:

  • 4 lemons

  • 1 1/2 cup fresh mint

  • 6-8 cups of water

Place the lemons in thin slices in a pitcher. Rub the mint with your hands and place in the pitcher with the lemons. Add the water. Refrigerate for 1 to 8 hours depending on the intensity of flavor desired. Strain the water to remove the leaves and serve in glasses with ice.

Fruit Water:

  • 1 portion of each fruit: apple, lemon, orange, and pear

  • 4 large strawberries

  • 1 handful of mint

  • 1/2 gallon of water

Cut the fruit into large chunks. Place them in a pitcher and add cold water. Refrigerate for two hours and serve in glasses with ice.

Note: It is recommended to consume the flavored water the same day it is prepared, as the flavor may vary as the days pass.
