Caprese Salad with Quinoa

Here’s a recipe using Quinoa for you to try!!! I hope you like it since this food is super complete!

Approximate Nutritional Information:

  • Calories: 305 kcal.

  • Fat grams: 7 gr.

  • Protein grams: 14 gr.

  • Carbohydrate grams: 50 gr.

note: nutritional information may vary depending on the quantities and types of ingredients used.

What You Need:

  • 1/4 cup quinoa

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

  • 1/2 teaspoon honey

  • pinch of salt

  • 10 bocconcini (small mozzarella cheese balls)

  • 30 basil leaves

  • 15 cherry tomatoes

Steps to Follow:

  • Put the quinoa, water, vinegar, honey and salt in a small pot. Bring to a boil, then lower the temperature and cover the pot until all the liquid evaporates (approximately 20 minutes)

  • Cut the basil leaves, tomatoes and cheese.

  • Remove the quinoa from heat (it will be sticky from the honey), and place it on a plate

  • Add the other ingredients together with the quinoa and stir.
