2 slices of whole wheat square bread
250 gr of lean ground beef
250 gr of lean ground pork
1 egg
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of dried parsley
1/2 tablespoon of dried basil
1/2 tablespoon of dried oregano
2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper
Place the bread slices in a food processor to make breadcrumbs.
Add all ingredients to a deep bowl and combine well using your hands.
Weigh 30 gr of the meat mixture and shape it into a ball. Repeat this step with the remaining meat.
Cook the meatballs in a skillet with olive oil or cooking spray.
Once cooked, they can be left marinating in natural tomato sauce or simply add the sauce when serving.
