Garlic and Lemon Shrimp

Shrimp is a food that has a low level of fat and calories compared to other proteins such as chicken, beef or pork. It contains carotenes, Omega-3, vitamin A and cholesterol. People who have high cholesterol levels are advised to moderate shrimp consumption.

Approximate Nutritional Information:

  • Calories: 140 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 2gr

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 5 gr.

Note: The nutritional information may vary according to the type and quantity of ingredients we use.

Ingredients:

  • 3 garlic cloves (minced or ground)

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • salt and pepper

  • 1/2 kilogram of shrimp (approximately 26 to 30 shrimp)

Preparation:

  • Mix in a deep bowl the garlic, oil, lemon juice, honey, pinch of salt and pepper.

  • Add the shrimp to the mixture and let marinate for 20 minutes.

  • Heat a skillet and cook the shrimp until they are pink.

Variation: you can place the shrimp on skewers and grill them.
