Oatmeal with Peaches

A different idea for breakfast or an afternoon snack. This is delicious!!!

Approximate Nutritional Content:

  • Calories: 285 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 3 gr. equals 1/2 fat

  • Grams of protein: 11 gr. equals 2 protein servings

  • Grams of carbohydrate: 57 gr. equals 4 grains

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of regular oatmeal.

  • 1 cup of water

  • a pinch of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon of honey

  • 60 gr. of plain yogurt (1 small container)

  • 1 ripe peach cut into cubes with skin

Steps:

  • Place the oatmeal, water and salt in a small pot over medium heat, stir constantly.

  • Once the oatmeal absorbs some water (slightly thicker), add the cinnamon and honey. Stir until it boils. It will thicken in approximately 3 minutes.

  • Remove from heat.

  • Add the yogurt and 3/4 of the peach. Mix.

  • Once well mixed, place on a plate and top with the remaining peach and a touch more honey.
