This option is perfect for satisfying a sweet craving without consuming a large amount of calories.

Approximate Nutritional Content per Serving (2 fingers wide):

  • Calories: 150 kcal.

  • Grams of protein: 14 gr, equivalent to 2 proteins.

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 22 gr, equivalent to 1 1/2 servings of grain

  • Grams of fat: 1 gr.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt (1/8 teaspoon)

  • 2 large ripe bananas

  • 1/4 cup applesauce

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon molasses

  • 1 egg

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • In a deep bowl mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  • In another bowl add the mashed banana, applesauce, vanilla, honey, molasses, and egg. Beat by hand until well combined and fluffy.

  • Spray cooking oil on two loaf pans (the rectangular and narrow ones).

  • Add the dry ingredients (flour mixture) to the wet ingredients (banana mixture), stir until well combined.

  • Pour half of the mixture into one pan and the rest into the other. Bake for 45 minutes.

  • Remove from oven, let cool for 10 minutes, and turn out onto a plate.
