For chocolate lovers, here’s a versatile hot chocolate recipe that you can customize with your favorite ingredients. Plus, you can enjoy it guilt-free.

  • Calories: 190 kcal.

  • Fat grams: 9 gr. equals 1.5 fat servings

  • Protein grams: 7 gr. equals 1 protein serving

  • Carbohydrate grams: 22 gr. equals 1.5 grain servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup skim milk

  • 45 gr dark chocolate, shredded

  • 1/2 teaspoon mint extract

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Steps to Follow:

  • In a small pot, bring the milk to a boil (over medium heat).

  • Remove the milk from heat, and add and stir (mix) constantly for one minute the remaining ingredients.

Variations: if you prefer, you can use cinnamon, ginger, or for the adventurous, chili instead of mint.
