1 1/3 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/8 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of butter at room temperature
2 tablespoons of cream cheese
1 egg
1/2 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of orange zest
1 teaspoon of orange extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.
In a medium deep bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another deep bowl mix with a hand mixer at medium speed, the butter, cream cheese, egg, sugar, zest, and orange extract. Beat for 3 minutes or until well combined. Add the flour mixture slowly and mix well.
Place the dough in cookie shapes (1 tablespoon) on the baking sheet, separated by approximately 2 fingers. Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are golden.
Once ready, remove from the baking sheet with the paper and let cool.
