1 cup light blonde beer
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 small apples
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a small pot, mix the beer, sugar, raisins, butter, and cinnamon. Mix and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Place the apples (halved) face down on a baking sheet. Pour and spread the beer mixture over the apples.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the apples are soft. Transfer the apples to a plate, place them face up. To the sauce remaining on the baking sheet, add the almond extract, stir, and drizzle the sauce over the apples. Serve.
