This recipe is perfect for a light snack or dinner. Very quick to make and combines delicious flavors. We hope you enjoy it.

Grams of fat: 3.8 gr. equivalent to half a fat serving
Grams of carbohydrate: 31.1 gr. equivalent to 2 carbohydrate/vegetable servings
Grams of protein: 5.9 gr. equivalent to 1 protein serving

8 small pitas
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 cups fresh tomato, diced
1 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
Combine in a medium bowl the vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic.
Then add the tomato to the mixture, stir gently to coat the tomato well with the vinegar mixture.
Place 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the tomato mixture in each pita bread.
Drizzle each pita bread with 2 tablespoons of basil. Serve.
