For those unfamiliar with it, couscous is a type of pasta that cooks exactly like any other type and can be found in supermarkets nationwide. This recipe is simple to make, different, and delicious.

Approximate Nutritional Content: (entire recipe)

  • Calories: 385 kcal

  • Grams of fat: 3 gr. equals 1/2 fat serving

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 54 gr. equals 3.5 starches

  • Grams of protein: 35 gr. equals 5 proteins

Note: the recipe can be varied by using smaller amounts of ingredients, the nutritional content will vary according to the quantity and type of ingredients used.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts

  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/4 cup couscous

Preparation:

  • Cut the chicken into cubes.

  • Brown the chicken in a medium pot with cooking spray oil.

  • Add to the chicken the orange juice, soy sauce, and ginger.

  • Bring to a boil and then add the couscous, cover and let all the liquid evaporate.

  • Once dry, remove from heat and wait 5 minutes before eating.

Note: can be served with vegetables or salad.
