Now that fruit smoothies are trendy, this option is different (though a bit more caloric) and can help satisfy those sweet cravings we sometimes get.

Approximate Nutritional Content (entire recipe):

  • Calories: 290 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 11 gr. equals 2 fats

  • Grams of carbohydrates: 47 gr equals 3 grains

  • Grams of protein: 3 gr. equals 1/2 protein

note: nutritional information may vary depending on the type and quantity of ingredients used.

Ingredients:

  • 20 gr dark or bitter chocolate

  • 1 cup strawberries

  • 1 cup almond milk (regular or skim milk can be used)

  • optional splenda to taste

Steps to Follow:

  • Place the chocolate and strawberries in the blender. Add the milk.

  • Blend until smooth and well combined.

NOTE: add splenda if desired and the chocolate will remain in very small pieces.
