This recipe is an innovative way to use tuna—super light and versatile, you can enjoy it on its own or as a burger patty.

Approximate Nutritional Content (1 patty):

  • Calories: 125 kcal

  • Protein grams: 16 gr equivalent to 2 protein servings

  • Fat grams: 1 gr

  • Carbohydrate grams: 13 gr equivalent to 1 grain serving

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of tuna in water (light)

  • 1 egg

  • 30 gr of rolled oats

  • 1/4 cup of celery, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup of onion, finely diced

  • pinch of salt

  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme

Preparation:

  • Place all ingredients in a large, deep bowl. Mix well.

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Spray with cooking spray.

  • Form two patties of equal size using the tuna mixture. Place in the skillet.

  • Cook for 3-4 minutes, carefully flip and cook for another 2 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and serve (either accompanied by rice or as a sandwich).
