Shrimp Tacos with Peanut Sauce

These tacos are addictive! They contain protein, healthy fats and carbohydrates. They're perfect for serving at a party or as a light dinner. We can add a good salad to complete the dish.

These tacos are addictive! They contain protein, healthy fats and carbohydrates. They’re perfect for serving at a party or as a light dinner. We can add a good salad to complete the dish.

Approximate Nutritional Content: nutrition for two tacos.

  • Calories: 250 kcal.

  • Grams of fat: 9 gr equals 2 servings of fat

  • Grams of protein: 17 gr. equals 2 servings of protein

  • Grams of carbohydrate: 38 gr. equals 2.5 servings of carbohydrate

Note: nutritional information may vary according to the quantity and type of ingredients, as well as the portion size.

Ingredients:

For the sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 tablespoon honey

For the tacos:

  • 900 gr fresh, cleaned shrimp

  • 2 cups finely chopped cabbage

  • 1 avocado

  • 1 package corn tortillas

Preparation:

  • For the sauce: combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until you obtain a smooth texture.

  • Boil the shrimp in salted water and then transfer to an ice bath.

  • Slice the avocado into thin slices and heat the tortillas in the oven or microwave.

  • Assemble the tacos: place a handful of cabbage on each tortilla, then place an avocado slice, 2 shrimp and finish with a tablespoon of peanut sauce
